The Play Tennis Connect mobile app is categorized into three user profiles: Admin, Tennis Pro, and End-User. The features that you can access on the mobile app depends on the profile assigned to you.
This article gives a brief description of the mobile app features available to the user profile ‘Admin’.
Once you are logged in to the app as an admin, you will be taken to the home screen which will show you the club’s name, user profile icon, menu icon, and the six widgets located below the screen: Events Calendar, Circles, Book a Court, Court Blocker, Contact Lookup, and Send Notifications.
Let’s look at these features one by one.
From the User Profile you can change your password, create, update, or delete your Circles (a feature which will be discussed later on in the article), rate the app, or go to the App Store.
To access the User Profile, tap on the profile icon.
You can book a court, block a court, send out invitations, look up members, see what's on your calendar and what events you are enrolled to, send notifications to event participants, or see club contacts. All of these are accessible from the Menu. Just click on the hamburger (menu icon) to access these features.
The Events Calendar contains all the upcoming events hosted by the club.
From the Events Calendar, you can notify your circles about the event, invite people to the event by sending an email, contact the event host, and see the details of the event.
To see how to use the Events Calendar feature, please see the article App Admin View: Using the Events Calendar.
The Circles feature allows you to create your own circles (i.e. groups) and add members to those circles. With Circles, it is easier to categorize members into groups (e.g. ‘Weeknight Ladies Casual Play’ circle). You also have the option to share a circle to each member of the circle, or allow other members to join the circle.
To see how the Circles feature works, please see App Admin View: Using Circles.
Book a Court
It is easy to book a court from the mobile app using the, you guessed it, Book a Court feature. You can find all the available courts categorized by group or by name and the time slots.
For the steps on how to use this feature, please see App Admin View: Using the Book a Court Feature.
You can block one or more courts using the Court Blocker feature. You may want to block a court for a special event, a private lesson, or for maintenance.
For the steps on how to use this feature on the app, please see App Admin View: Using the Court Blocker Feature.
You can search for contacts and their respective contact information from the app via the Contact Lookup. From here, you can use the phone or email links to directly contact a member.
For more information on how to use this feature, please see App Admin View: Using the Contact Lookup Feature.
You can send invites, notifications, or messages to your members from the app easily through the Send Notifications feature. To see how to accomplish this, see the article App Admin View: Sending Notifications to Members.
